Amazing Skyline Views and Convenient Location

This hotel offered a quiet retreat. I appreciated the quick access to Manhattan by metro and cable car. The rooftop bar provided lovely views. I found the staff friendly (Sakib Ahmed was particularly helpful).
I did notice the absence of vending machines. Getting water or food required using the hotel restaurant, or ordering delivery.

The hotel is on Roosevelt Island. It is a calm environment with direct transfers via metro and cable car. This location is next to Cornell Tech, and it's very innovative.

the staff attitude was a problem. i found them unhelpful. the housekeeping quality was inconsistent too. i am frustrated as i've found cleaning issues in the bathroom. there was hair on the wall.

Mediocre Stay, Deficient Service
hidden feesnoisy room
The hotel's hidden fees soured my experience. I was charged a daily "destination fee" of $44.50 for facilities I didn't even use. Nobody informed me of this beforehand. there was a persistent noise issue in my room. I had to switch rooms in the middle of the night, inconvenient. I am frustrated about the hotel's lack of transparency and the disturbance to my rest.

coffee makermissing discount
I had a few problems . the room lacked a coffee maker, a basic amenity. free coffee was available only in the morning. also, a promised discount at the restaurant never was on my bill. it was annoying to deal with these oversights. I expected better attention to detail.

The location provided easy access to transportation. The subway and tram were a short walk away. The room had comfortable blackout curtains. This helped ensure restful sleep. I appreciated the friendly staff upon check-in. They provided a high-floor room with a Manhattan view.
